Sigma Gamma Rho responds to the crisis in Haiti
Earthquake Devastates Haiti
SORORS, NOW IS THE TIME
To show the world the true meaning of sisterhood …

We are grieved by the reports of destruction, devastation and death suffered by our brothers and sisters in Haiti, resulting from the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck the defenseless island on Tuesday. While information is still coming in, sorors, philos, rhoers and/or their family members residing in the area will most surely be affected and will need the help of our Sisterhood. This officer is asking all regions, chapters, officers, members, affiliates, friends and guests to again join us in coming to the dire aid of those both within and connected to our circle of sisters by contributing to the 2010 Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. Disaster Relief Fund.

Any and all amounts are encouraged and will be accepted. Make cashiers checks and money orders payable to the

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Disaster Relief Fund.
Mail contributions to the same, c/o
Barbara Eikner, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc, 1000 Southhill Drive, Ste. 200, Cary, NC 27513.

Donations can also be made online www.sgrho1922.org  disaster_relief@sgrho1922.org.

If you are aware of sorors or affiliates who are themselves or have family members affected by this tragedy, please forward the information to your respective regional syntaktes with copy to Executive Director Rachel Morris at executivedirector@sgrho1922.org.

The theme for our biennium is Purposed for Service: Reaching Inward, Upward & Outward. Your generous support of this request will align with all facets of this theme by assisting our own (reaching inward); exhibiting divine selfless love and sisterhood (reaching upward) and uplifting entire families as they work to rebuild local communities (reaching outward).

We ask you to keep each and every resident of Haiti in your continual prayers. Be forever mindful that none of us has the ability to predict the future … Today, it’s our brothers and sisters in Haiti in need, but tomorrow … Let’s ensure that our Disaster Relief Fund does what it was created to do – Help Us All!
Sisterly,
Joann Loveless
